676 Vehicles Controlled During Lintas Jaya Operation

On the first day of Lintas Jaya Operation, the ranks of Jakarta Transportation Department managed to control hundreds of vehicles due to illegal parking and other traffic violations.

Besides from department, we also involve army and police in the team

Jakarta Transportation Department Deputy Head, Yani Wahyu Purwoko stated, Tuesday (1/12) yesterday, we had controlled 676 vehicles. The violation is dominated by illegal parking with 363 units.

"Most offenders are motorcyclist. We had to remove their vehicle's tire valves," he expressed, Wednesday (1/13).

2016 Lintas Jaya Operation Started

Additionally, as many as 175 vehicles are ticketed, 89 vehicles towed and 49 vehicles operational stopped. From them, 13 of them are metromini or kopaja, with details 6 units are ticketed and seven other units operational stopped.

"We will keep controlling unruly public transports. That is by giving convenience and safety for people in traffic," he told.

Each team will have 27 personnel of army and police. "Besides from department, we also involve army and police in the team," he stated.

They will be spread in points that prone to illegal parking, such as Dukuh Atas, Tanah Abang, Kota Tua and Roxy.
